On the same itinerary, you will have the rare opportunity to observe mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Itinerary

Day 1: Pick Up from Entebbe and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

On this exciting day, your safari guide will pick you up around 7:00 AM from Entebbe to embark on your journey to the renowned Queen Elizabeth National Park. Spanning approximately 1,978 square kilometers, the park offers stunning vistas of the Rift Valley, encompassing the beautiful Lake Edward and Lake George.

Renowned for its unparalleled biodiversity, Queen Elizabeth National Park boasts an impressive array of wildlife, featuring around 95 mammal species and 612 bird species, making it one of the most diverse national parks globally.

You will enjoy a brief stopover in Mbarara Town for lunch before continuing your drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, you can opt for an evening or night game drive to experience the park’s vibrant wildlife in a different light.

After enjoying your breakfast, your guide will lead you on an unforgettable adventure to track chimpanzees, our closest relatives. This experience promises to be an incredible highlight to check off your bucket list. Following your chimpanzee tracking, you will return to your lodge for some relaxation while soaking in the stunning landscape views.

Later in the day, you will embark on an exciting launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This water adventure offers a fantastic opportunity for photography and 360-degree game viewing, showcasing the diverse wildlife that inhabits the area.

After the boat cruise, you will drive back to your lodge for a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, your driver will take you on a thrilling morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is a fantastic opportunity to spot a wide variety of wildlife, including cape buffalo, Uganda kobs, African elephants, hippos, lions, leopards, waterbucks, warthogs, and various antelopes.

Following this exhilarating game-viewing adventure, you will return to your lodge for lunch before embarking on your journey to the renowned Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Famous for its endangered mountain gorillas, the drive to the park is incredibly scenic, taking you through remote and hilly landscapes adorned with lush greenery.

Upon arrival in Bwindi, you will immediately notice that the park boasts some of the most remarkable ecosystems in Africa, showcasing a rich diversity of wildlife. The park is home to approximately 120 species of mammals and 348 species of birds. Later, you will check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Accommodation: Bakiga Lodge (Luxury)

After enjoying your morning breakfast, you will prepare for an exciting day ahead by packing a picnic lunch. Arriving at the park offices by 7:00 am, you will attend a briefing conducted by the Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guides. After the briefing, you will venture into the rainforest to embark on an adventurous trek in search of the endangered mountain gorillas.

During your trek, you may also encounter a variety of other wildlife, including birds, monkeys, and possibly even chimpanzees. The trek is expected to last between 2 to 6 hours, providing an exhilarating experience as you navigate the lush and bumpy terrain in search of these magnificent creatures.

Once you find the gorillas, you will be granted one hour to observe them in their natural habitat, allowing you to learn about their behaviors and capture stunning photographs.

After your unforgettable gorilla trekking experience, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, renowned for its green, lush terraced hills and its 29 islands, which are truly a sight to behold. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today marks the final day of your 5-day safari adventure! After a leisurely breakfast, you will set off on your journey back to Entebbe, taking in the stunning sceneries along the way.

You will enjoy a delicious lunch en route in Mbarara Town, a great opportunity to savor some local cuisine. After lunch, you will make a memorable stop at the Equator, where you can engage in fascinating experiments and capture some great photos at this unique geographical landmark.

Once you have enjoyed these experiences, you will continue your journey, and your safari guide will ensure you are dropped off at Entebbe International Airport. As your safari comes to an end, you’ll take home unforgettable memories of Uganda’s stunning landscapes and incredible wildlife!
