Your 3-day chimpanzee Safari begins with a scenic drive from either Kampala or Entebbe, where you will meet your safari guide. The journey to Kibale Forest National Park takes approximately 5 hours, offering a beautiful view of Uganda’s countryside. You will stop in Fort Portal Town for an en-route lunch, a perfect time to relax and enjoy the local ambiance.
After lunch, the adventure continues with a visit to the crater lakes, a stunning natural attraction in the area. Following the crater visit, you will head to Kibale Forest National Park for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

You will start the day with an early breakfast before heading to the Kibale Forest National Park office for a briefing. The park rangers will guide you through the dos and don’ts during chimpanzee trekking, preparing you for the exciting adventure ahead. Equipped with your tracking gear, packed picnic lunch, and water, you will enter the forest under the guidance of experienced rangers.
The chimpanzee trek typically lasts 2 to 5 hours, as you navigate through the forest in search of these fascinating primates. Once you find them, you will spend an incredible hour observing their behavior, interactions, and taking memorable photos. This close encounter is one of the highlights of the safari.
After your trek, return to the lodge for lunch and some refreshments. In the afternoon, enjoy a nature walk in Bigodi Swamp, a wetland known for its rich birdlife, including the Great Blue Turaco, and a variety of primates and antelopes like the sitatunga. The walk offers a peaceful yet exciting experience in Uganda’s natural beauty.
Later in the evening, return to the lodge to relax, enjoy dinner, and stay overnight.

After the cave tour, you will embark on a Crater Lakes tour, where you can enjoy the stunning scenery of crater lakes surrounded by lush landscapes.
Following the morning exploration, you will stop for lunch before starting the 5 to 6-hour journey back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home, marking the end of your remarkable adventure.
